We’re proud of how much our network has grown over the past decade. None of our success would be possible without our members and importantly our volunteers who help make all the good stuff happen.
To keep growing and make sure we retain the vision set 10 years ago we have launched an Executive Board. And we need you. We’re looking for a number of you to fill roles that will help us grow and give you experience to build your career.
We are prioritising an ambitious plan to diversify our people, projects and activities, expand our staff team and improve our governance processes. The board will inform and shape the direction of the network in the medium to long term, keeping us honest to our promises.
We have built a strong reputation connecting and inspiring Kiwi women. If you are ambitious, understand the pressure faced by a small start-up organisation, and can think creatively about the opportunities for the network to grow and increase our impact, then please apply to join us.

Jenni is Senior Director at Living Streets UK, and a Company Director for Living Streets Services. She has worked in the charity sector for 15 years, successfully delivering projects for UK and international audiences. Areas of expertise includes education, sustainability, health and behaviour change. In her current role she works with the CEO on strategic planning and is reviewing staff learning and training.
Jenni is a Trustee for Raheli Trust, supporting disadvantaged Tanzanian children to access education. She is also volunteer Programme Coordinator for ArtCan, a not for profit organisation supporting artists. She was awarded the Charity Times Supporting Executive of the Year Award 2018 and won an Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Leader Award in 2019.
Simon Walker CBE grew up in South Africa before moving to NZ as a journalist with TV One. He later worked for the Lange/Douglas government as Director of Communications before moving to the UK. He is currently the lead non-executive director of the Department for International Trade and a senior advisor to Greenbrook Communications.
He has worked in London, Brussels, New Zealand and the United States in a variety of communication and journalism roles. He was a journalism fellow at Stanford, having graduated from Balliol College, Oxford where he was President of the Oxford Union.
Simon has a wealth of experience at board and executive level. He was Director General of the Institute of Directors from 2011 to 2016, having previously been Communications Secretary to HM Queen Elizabeth II and an advisor to former Prime Minister, John Major. He was born and grew up in South Africa and has worked in media, politics and business in New Zealand, Belgium and the UK.
Emma is a business leader and board director, encompassing blue chips, start-ups and high growth tech companies. Her career includes the leadership, scaling and successful exits of three businesses, plus angel investment in a variety of companies. Until early 2017, Emma was a founding member and COO of Ad tech company The Exchange Lab. Emma is co-founder of Volcano Coffee Works.
Emma returned to New Zealand in October 2017 and sits on the Boards of NZVIF, the New Zealand Government Investment Fund managing funds in excess of $300 million, KEA, the New Zealand Expat Association and Karma Drinks.
Emma holds a Masters in Criminology and began her career in London as a Corporate Fraud Investigator before moving to the City as a business manager within Consulting at KPMG, followed by COO of Metrius, a creative consulting agency. In 2003 Emma became the Managing Director of two digital media businesses, Atlas Europe and Mediabrokers. Emma managed these businesses through rapid scale and the two year earn-out, achieving maximum value at exit.
Gabrielle has led the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) as Chief Executive Officer since April 2015. She is a senior INGO executive with over 12 years’ leadership, policy, programme development and strategic decision-making achievements across charity, government and statutory sectors.
Gabrielle has been a trustee of the Intercountry Adoption Centre (IAC) since July 2018. The IAC is a registered
voluntary adoption agency providing intercountry and domestic adoption services.
Gabrielle’s experience includes heading up the external affairs and research work of the global charity World Animal Protection to strengthen its campaigning on issues such as disease control and negotiations on SDGs; and leading on international relations and external affairs for CEOP, the agency now based within the National Crime Agency and focused on combating child exploitation and abuse.
