Summary of evening

Our October event was held at the Modern Pantry located in Clerkenwell www.themodernpantry.co.uk. This amazing restaurant was set up by Kiwi Chef Anna Hansen and we were treated to some of their delicious nibbles and some wine (I have to say they were without doubt  the nicest hors d'oeuvres I have ever tasted). Anna spoke briefly about her journey and opening the establishment and how the concept of the Pantry came about. We would like to thank Anna and her wonderful team for hosting the evening in the private dining area, simply superb!

Anna was followed by Annah Stretton speaking about her business success as one of New Zealand’s icons in the fashion and publishing industries. Annah kindly joined us on route to Reims to accept the prestigious Verve Clicquot award, which is an award for business women who are high achievers in business life, it salutes the womens achievements - many of whom work quietly and without acclaim in the many different businesses and industries that contribute to the economic life of 17 countries around the world. Congratulations once again Annah! Not only did Annah share her amazing story of business success but also imparted her ten strategies for success which she has kindly written up for us all. (Please contact Bronwen bronwen@nzwomen.co.uk if you didnt receive a pdf copy via email)

We would like to thank Annah for her time, sharing her story and also ensuring we had some key actions we could all take away and apply to our own lives. Many people commented that they could have listened to Annah speaking for another hour, truly inspiring stuff.

Following Annahs talk Maggie Eyre lead a quick networking exercise to ensure we all left the evening having met a new face or two.

We always want to ensure that each event is something a little different but that we include our main goals to learn, to network and to connect.
