New Career Change Mentor Groups: Seeking clarity for career change? Ready to change direction in your career?

Which group is for you?

  • Are you unhappy in your job or looking for a career change but unsure what it will take for you to feel happy and fulfilled in a new job? Our Clarity Around Your Career Change will suit you.
  • If you know that you want to change industries but are worried that you might have to go backwards to go forwards, then our Changing Direction in Your Career group will suit you.

Group #1: Clarity around your career change

Do you feel like you’re in the wrong job, but you’re not sure what the right one looks like? Are you clear on what you don’t want but struggling to get clear on what you do want?  Are you starting to feel as though your confidence is waning and you’re at risk of taking another job that may be no better?

If you’re ready for a change and keen to make sure your next career step takes you in a direction where you can do work you’re good at and can grow with, in an environment that challenges, stretches and fulfils you, this is the mentoring group for you.

With support and prompts from your Mentees and Mentor, this mentoring group will help you understand what you want and need from a work environment to make a career move that really works for you. Mentees will guide each session to explore what they need to move forward. Topics may cover how to understand the value you add and to identify what you value most, how to create a career vision that will motivate you and enable you to make informed choices, or clarity on which elements of your career are non negotiable as you look for your next role and which are icing on the cake.

Dates: Six sessions starting on Tuesday 3rd November. You must be able to attend all of the following eight dates: 3 November, 10 November, 17 November, 24 November, 1 December, 8 December, 15 December,  5 January
Times: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Location: Near Old Street for November sessions. Either near Old Street or near Trafalgar Square for December sessions.
Mentor: Teresa Mitrovic

Teresa is the Managing Director and Lead Consultant at TM&Co Ltd.  An experienced executive coach and trainer, Teresa focuses on facilitating high performance practices in fast paced, highly pressured environments. She spends most of her time working in the corporate and public service world, helping people achieve more by combining effectiveness, enjoyment and stronger working relationships.

She has provided facilitation and bespoke team and leadership development for a host of clients including the Mayors Office for Policing and Crime and HS2, and has coached people at all levels, from middle managers and funded start-ups to MD's.  She has had the great pleasure of delivering career masterclasses for RBS, Barclays and EY amongst others, for audiences as small as 40 and as large as 180.

Teresa has a corporate background, working in senior roles at Universal Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, and Hasbro and understands the pressures of combining parenthood with a career. Her adult son now lives in Auckland, Teresa’s home city. Raised in Auckland, Teresa moved to London six years ago with her husband - originally for six years - she now loves it almost too much to leave. You can find Teresa at www.tmandco.com

Group #2: Changing direction in your career

Are you clear on the career change that you want to make but are feeling unsure of where to start? Are you looking to make the most of the skills and experience you have already gained without starting on the bottom rung?  Are you committed to exploring your options and taking the next step towards the career you want in a new industry or environment?

This mentoring group will draw on the challenge and support of your mentor and each other, to help you map out the steps that you need to take to successfully navigate a career change into a new industry. The discussions will be guided by where group members are in their journey and what it is they need to explore to be able to progress.  This could be about how to market your skills in a new way, how to use your network and how to overcome fears that arise when thinking about a career change.

You will get support and advice from your mentor and fellow mentees to explore your options, find direction and work to break down the barriers you may be facing in order to get new opportunities or that more senior role.

Dates: Six sessions starting on Monday 2 November. You must be able to attend all of the following eight dates: 2 November, 9 November, 23 November, 7 December, 11 January, 18 January, 1 February, 8 February
Times: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Location:  Near Chancery Lane, London
Mentor:  Jude O'Neill

Jude O'Neill is a leadership and impact coach who gets individuals and teams from where they are now, to where they want to be.  She finds it inspiring working with people to help them become clearer about their vision and she gets a real kick out of seeing people achieve more than they ever imagined possible.

Her own career journey has taught her that anything is possible. She went from studying psychology and information systems at Victoria University, to teaching English in Brazil, to being an auditor and project manager before heading back to university to do a Masters in Organisational Behaviour at Birkbeck. She now works in the learning team of a global organisation and is responsible for the personal skills development of her group.  It is here that she trained to be an executive coach which is the most fun and fulfilling part of her role.

She moved to London from Wellington 9 years ago and has spent most of
her time around Clapham and Brixton, where she now lives with her fiancé. After writing an article for people at work about how to cope with not getting the promotion they wanted, she was inspired to start a blog. She now writes about her ideas, thoughts and favourite tools to do with coaching, leadership and impact at www.judeoneill.com.

Apply now! Applications for both groups close at 5pm Friday 23th October 2015 (**extended from 19th October**)
